One of many things that you hope for your children is that they find a passion in life. Whether it is a career or hobby, something that they can find joy and happiness in doing it. My oldest son Jacob, I believe, has found a passion in his career as a brewer. From the excitement he has in finding a unique yeast strain, to growing his own hops, to mastering the mechanics of the bottling line, to developing his own recipes not to mention enjoying the final product, he truly loves what is does.
Most of us start out loving the profession we have chosen; why else would we have chosen it?! However, sometimes after years of actually doing our jobs, they become routine, maybe not so challenging, and we lose that passion we once had. We get up in the morning and get on the treadmill and fulfill our responsibilities.
Some of us, however, not only still have that passion for what we do, but it actually has INCREASED over time. How can this be, you may ask? How can something you do every work day still be exciting and full of joy? Well, when I started my practice, I was excited because I thought I was going to make an impact in people’s life’s and health. After 30+ years, I now can look at the facts of the matter: I am so blessed to be able to participate in making real life differences in people’s health and it NEVER gets old.
I want to share the last paragraph of the most recent testimonial by a young patient that has been submitted to my office who was suffering from scoliosis.
“Dr. Zuchowski literally changed my life. I have no pain in my lower back or coccyx and the pain in my neck and shoulder has decreased. I didn’t have to use a brace or take pills. Now I can’t wait for winter so that I can snowboard again. I seriously thank Dr. Zuchowski for everything that he’s done, because without him, I would still be popping pills to numb the pain. Karen B.”
Now I ask you, would you get tired of that? I never have. I think I have the greatest job in the world. My only frustration is not being able to help more people so that they can achieve their optimal health potential, free from pain and subluxations.
